Girls' Night Out - May 8, 2008 :

Tiaras are back!  Start your night at The Silk Worm, 'cause they go fast!

The Silk Worm will be donating 10% of the day's sales to The Assistance League of Southeastern Michigan.  The Assistance League of Southeastern Michigan is a nonprofit corporation comprised of volunteers.  Their mission is to improve the quality of life for those in need of care, guidance and assistance through the development and implementation of philanthropic projects.

Girls' Night Out is usually about showering our guests with gifts; refreshments and prizes.  This time we wish to focus on the charities that serve those in need.  All merchants have graciously pledged 10% of their evening sales to one of 34 beloved charities.  We ask that you shop generously, have fun and remember to sign up for a chance to win a $100 Downtown Rochester Gift Certificate in front of the DDA office at 308 1/2 Main Street.

The Flower of May

The Flower of May is Lily Of The Valley.  Lily Of The Valley - (Convallaria Majalis) Can be used as a filler flower.  However, it can stand on its own when used in a bunch.  In the language of flowers, The Lily Of The Valley means sweetness; humility; return to happiness.  This flower is available in white or pink.
